Yeast Infection.....?

My niece came round on Saturday, from the last give somebody the third degree my overall answer was a yeast infection and to give her a yogurt.

She said "Eww, find that thing away I don't like yogurt's, on yogurt drinks" I didn't push contained by her face, I got one and asked if she required one. Would Yop the yogurt drink work as well? Or not, if not her mum would conjecture of something I'm sure! Lol
Answers:
It really needs to be live yoghurt - not sure if Yop is or not.
Other things she should do - don't use scented soaps to dust her genitals, buy a cream such as Canestan and apply that externally.
Unfortunately though these are unlikely to cure the problem as the over growth of yeast occurs inside and you only see the results of the yeast going squally.
You can buy tablets & pessaries at the chemist - but it will be much cheaper to go to the doctor!
The solitary reason you give yogurt for yeast infections is because here is live probiotics (good bacteria) in the yogurt.

A more effective method is actually buying the pills with the virtuous bacteria. You can get it at any vigour food store. I have even got them at Walgreen's. It is call Acidophilus. There are many strains of this essential bacteria, but the one I mentioned is most popular.
Avoid adjectives those over the counter creams and pills. It will make it worse in the long run. Also, avoid antibiotics. That will lately kill the good microbes that feeds on the yeast.

I used to get yeast infections seriously, and now since I take the probiotics, I NEVER carry them anymore! Sometimes I may feel one starting up and I just nouns up with the probiotics and within a morning, all is better! Source(s): http://www.yeastinfections.net/probiotic…
I suggest telling her mom to take her to the doctor. She could any get pills or cream.

The pills are very horrible and I would suggest taking them with apple sause. But the pills are a better open for the girl if she is extremely young.

And to prevent her from getting another one make sure she does not wear too tight jeans, cotton underwear so it can occupy more moisture because too much moisture down there can cause a yeast infection.
Try not using yogurt with sugar contained by it, that only feeds the yeast infection. Tell her to cut down on yeasty, white breads. Natural yogurt is better, and can apparently soothe the itching and burning if applied directly on the vulva. I didn't try it, mind.
Get her to call on her doctor, because the infection can spread, and then you're fu*cked because it does hurt. The treatment should show relief inside twenty-four hours and come 2-3 days, she should be feeling right as rain. Source(s): Recovering from a callous yeast infection.
It requirements to be live yoghurt to actually help. But that doesn't give a hand stop thrush, it helps relieve symptoms. I've used it myself to relieve symptoms, drinking cranberry juice help too, although as she's young she probably wont want to drink that.

The best thing would be to lift her to the GP/Nurse, so they can give her some Canesten cream, pessary or even the tablet, dependant on how strong the thrush is.

Hope this helps Source(s): Experienced thrush a fête bit
It should be natural joghurt. If you use a yoghurt drink at hand is sugar in it... and sugar is like food for the yeast infection.
You don't grant it to drink... you use the yoghurt on a tampon.
I have never heard of pills against a yeast infection. Normally here is a cream and Vaginal pills. Source(s): I always get a yeast infection after treatment next to antibiotics.
It has to specifically be natural LIVE plain yogurt. It might not enjoy any curative measures once you actually have thrush but it will prevent thrush from occurring.

The yogurt wants to be introduced into the vagina with either a tampon or syringe (minus the syringe!) The key is not the yogurt itself but the bacteria, lactobacillus acidophilus, surrounded by the yogurt. This helps the body maintain, or regain, its automatic pH level and keeps yeast below control. If your friend has thrush right now, she requests an anti-yeast preparation either brought OTC or obtained for her GP- Canesten for example. Source(s): Registered Nurse
The yoghurt have to be natural live yoghurt and you apply it to the area not get through it. If she is using tampons, dip one in the yoghurt and then insert it. If she is not nonetheless using tampons, then the best thing would be to apply it to a wipe or rub it in as far as she can comfortably.
Probably the quickest most surefire way to achieve rid of thrush is to get an over the counter remedy, of either cream, pessary or oral pill.
I think basically about any yogurt would work, but I'm not sure.

I have a friend who get a yeast infection when she was a kid; somehow, they managed to grasp her to the doctor and the doc was able to impart medicine to treat it. You could always be in motion that route or you could see if there's something you can give to her orally (pills) that would manufacture it go away. Either way, I would own her mom consult a doctor about it. The doc would know what's best. :] Source(s): I'm a girl.
