Women Only! Yeast Infection?

A little less than a week ago I had some itching and irritation. I wrote it rotten as razor burn and thought nothing more. As this week come around the itching and irritation got worse, it also got slightly swollen, (possibly from adjectives the scratching?). So I went to the pharmacy and picked up Monistat 3. I'm initiation my third night tonight and the itching has substantially subsided, but is not completely gone. I don't sleep around, and hold been in a committed relationship for over three years so STD's aren't even a verbs. I have no real foul smell, and no cottage cheese-like discharge. Could this be a mild yeast infection? The box states that some side effects of the Monistat include a mild increase surrounded by burning, itching, and irritation. So do you think it's a side effect? What is going on here?!
